Mastering Service Terms

We accept WAV, FLAC and MP3 files up to 500 MB per order. One order covers one track.

You must hold all necessary rights to the recording. Uploading material you do not have permission to process is a breach of these terms and may result in the order being cancelled without a master being delivered.

Export your final mix without clipping and with a few dB of headroom on the mix bus. Heavily limited or distorted mixes limit what mastering can achieve.

Smooth is a more restrained mastering approach. Normal is balanced mastering for most releases. Intense is a stronger, more aggressive mastering approach suited to heavy music.

The intensity you choose at checkout applies to that order. Changing intensity requires a new order.

Masters are currently delivered as WAV files at 16-bit / 44.1 kHz. This specification may change if our mastering provider updates its output format.

No mastering is started before payment has been confirmed by our backend. Uploaded audio is only sent to the mastering provider after an order reaches paid status.

If a mastering job fails for technical reasons, the order is marked as failed and our team can retry it. Retries are always free of charge.

We do not claim that automated mastering is better than a human mastering engineer, and we do not guarantee any particular loudness, chart performance or playlist placement.
